Last week, whilst in France, I visited the wonderful Mémorial de Caen museum. It details the history of World War II, highlighting many of the significant events that took place, especially in Normandy.
There were some amazing artefacts and posters, including the one I have attached below.
It displays a quote from the then President of the USA, Franklin D. Roosevelt, where he states, “Lost ground can always be regained — lost time — never”.
In a programme or project, time always needs to be correctly accounted for, and always, always ensure you add contingency for potential delays. If you need to gain ground, money can always be spent on a solution or resources, but, unless time machines have been invented in the time I have written this, time in a project can never be regained.
Plan accordingly to ensure a smooth delivery and the outcome required.
